AJAX Loader Image Generator

For my search box above, I wanted to have some kind of animation for when the live search has begun. There was an image already with the theme, but, it wasn’t transparent enough; it showed white around the edges. That doesn’t look good on blue.

Since I love those AJAX loader animations, I thought I would search for some that might be more transparent. The first search resulted in a generator that creates exactly what I wanted! And, I can choose from several loaders! It was such a hard decision between a couple of them, but I went with the more common one, also because it’s smaller.

If you want to see the one I chose and how good it looks, just try searching above. Type some words and hit enter.

AJAX WordPress Themes

I came across these WordPress themes that use AJAX by Rod McFarland. These aren’t your ordinary themes that just have comments or search results that show up without refreshing the page. Take a look.

My favorites are CLI2 and Splat. Some people might think these themes are useless, but what if you want to view a blog in text format without all those images? Plus, it’s just fun!

Professional Icons

I have come across many websites offering icons, but usually they are very, very expensive. It is really nice to be able to customize your website with high quality, nice looking icons, or even your application. Icons can make anything look really good if you use them correctly and are able to use high quality ones. People will “ooh and ahh” over your icons!

swfIR: Image Replacement

I don’t even remember how I found this, but I think it was as I was going through one website to the next. You know how that goes, right?

Anyway, if you’d like to change how your images are displayed on your website, this might be for you. It looks really nice, too! It’s called swfIR, which stands for swf image replacement. It uses JavaScript and Flash and can add a shadow, rounded corners, a border, and even rotate the image.

Updated Design

After having settled on the last look, because there just weren’t many that I liked, I recently found this one (the one you see). I’m not very creative when it comes to creating my own design, but I do know what I like. If I can use something that is already created rather than re-creating it, I’ve saved time!
