No Baby, Yet

Well, it’s one day after the due date and there isn’t a baby, yet. We’re ready for the baby, but he just doesn’t want to come out. Hopefully he comes soon, because I am ready to have my body back!

I am a little nervous about how the day will go, but hopefully it will be very easy. Sorry for the lack of entries, but I’ve been preparing for the baby.

Go Away Snow

It’s April, and we’re still getting snow! We had some nice warm weather and then out of nowhere we get hit with cold weather and then snow! I’m tired of it! Sure, we got away with not having much snow when Winter should have started, but who cares, just skip the season!

Of course we’re expecting more snow next week. I just want the warm weather so I don’t have to go outside in the freezing cold when it’s time for me to head to the hospital to have a baby!

Eamon also loved going outside and riding his bike when it was warm and then we had rain and snow and had to tell him he couldn’t go out and play because it was just too cold. I hope it gets warm again before the baby is born. I hate having to wear a coat and can’t even zip it up because my belly sticks out too far.

Very Soon

With May 1st only a few weeks away, I’ve been doing more planning for when the baby gets here. We don’t have the crib setup yet, but that’s because we’re waiting on a new bed for Eamon, which my mom bought for him. This way we can convert his bed back into the crib. We’ll probably buy the mattress for Eamon’s bed before it arrives so we can have the crib put together before the baby is born.

Now that there isn’t that long to go, I’ve been losing more and more sleep at night. That’s mostly due to not being comfortable sleeping on my sides because it feels like muscles are being torn and it stings a lot. And sleeping on my back is awful because the weight of the baby on my back is horrible. I can feel my ribs being pushed out and then when I sit up, I can feel them move back since the baby moves down due to gravity. It is a very uncomfortable feeling! No one said that when you go through another pregnancy that everything feels worse! My first pregnancy was easy compared to this one.

If you don’t know how far along I am, here’s a ticker from Baby Gaga:

Pregnancy Due Date

After the baby is here, I’m not sure how often I’ll be able to write, but I hope to aim for at least once a week, if not more than that.

Baby Shower

A couple friends of mine threw together a baby shower for me on Saturday. Even though there was supposed to be more people there, it was really fun. One person was sick and couldn’t make it, and others had plans.

I didn’t even expect to have a baby shower, but it was nice to have one anyway. I mostly enjoyed hanging out with everyone. And, Eamon had fun playing with a little girl. When it was time for us to leave, she didn’t want Eamon to go.

They even sent us home with some of the food, which was really good, too! Especially this pasta salad that has apples in it.

These two friends will be watching Eamon when I go to the hospital, so we’ll be visiting them more often to allow Eamon to get used to them, because he’ll end up staying the night at least one night, if not two.

Switched Hosts

Just today I switched from one host to a new one. Since it was time to renew, I wanted to look around to see if I could get more space, bandwidth and features for less. I decided to go with HostRocket, partly because David mentioned them, and the other reason has to do with a really great plan they have.

I’d say that the transfer went almost smoothly besides the editing of a few files and learning how to do things on this new host. Any questions I had were answered in just minutes! There was no downtime from the domain transferring to the new nameserver. Hopefully I don’t run into any problems. If any of you notice anything strange, please let me know!
