Free Advertising Every Month

UPDATE: I am no longer offering free advertising every month due to not enough demand. But, every once in a while, I may offer subscribers free advertising.

Currently, in the sidebar underneath Sponsors, it’s kind of empty as Text-Link-Ads hasn’t given me much, yet. I would like to offer free advertising every month. Your link will be placed below Sponsors in its own section called Related Links.

If you have a website or blog that fits the content of Soft Tech Reviews (look in the topics if you’re unsure), then this offer is for you. Contact me with the required details:

Requirements

  • Free Advertising for [Current Month Here]
  • Your website’s/blog’s name
  • Your website’s/blog’s URL
  • Your name
  • Maximum 5 word title
  • Optional description for the link. (e.g. Title: Soft Tech Reviews, Description: Software, technology, reviews and more.) If you do not provide a description, the title will be used.

I am only offering four links to four lucky people every month. That’s right, only one link per person.

What’s the catch? I’m glad you asked! The catch is… okay, there isn’t a catch, I lied. But, I do hope that you’ll consider either mentioning Soft Tech Reviews and this offer or linking back on your own website/blog. Share this offer with a friend!

Rules

  1. Do not contact about future months.
  2. Do not contact if your website/blog is not related to Soft Tech Reviews’ content.
  3. Do not contact if it says the offer is over.
  4. Do not contact if all spots are taken.
  5. Do not contact if you advertised in the past three months.

Comments have been disabled for this entry to prevent too many comments asking about the offer. If you see four links underneath Related Links, then you know that for the current month, those spots are taken. It will say when those spots will be available again, so check back often, or subscribe to the RSS Feed to know when the spots are available and when they are taken!

How Long Will This Last?

I don’t know. If I like the response I receive from this, then I will continue to do this until I am unable to do it anymore.

If you miss the current month, don’t worry, try again the next month.

Recommended Read Via Google Reader Shared Items

I use Google Reader to subscribe to RSS feeds, because I like being able to access my feeds where ever I am, but also, since I subscribe to so many, it doesn’t take up space on my hard drive.

I decided that I would share any feed items that I think you, the reader, might enjoy by adding it to the sidebar. Just look for Recommended Read to see what I am currently sharing.

New Design

First off, I apologize for all the changes I keep making here. The last one I had, I liked, but it was so hard to get used to one column, so I knew I had to change it or I would never be happy.

The one I’m now using is by Kalina Web Designs and I really like this one because it allows for a lot of customization, especially with colors. I promise I will keep this one around! And, hopefully I can get around to finding time to customizing it even more.

UPDATE: I apologize, I didn’t realize the Revolution theme by Brian Gardner would be released yet, so I am now using Revolution. It looks better and works for what I want anyway.

WordPress Upgrade

Just today I upgraded to WordPress 2.2.2 because it was released yesterday when I wasn’t paying attention! Anyway, this release is only for security and minor bug fixes. The easy way to upgrade is to just update the files that were changed, rather than uploading every file, which can be extremely time consuming.

Usually, you should save a backup of your blog and your database before performing any upgrade, even if it only changes several files. I recommend everyone upgrade to the the newest version.

New Domain

I mentioned before that I had purchased a new domain and wouldn’t release the name. Now that the domain is ready, I can announce it. The new domain for this website is www.softtechreviews.com (notice there are two Ts in there, not one).

If you currently have www.myphotoalbumspace.com bookmarked or saved anywhere, please change it, as that domain will only point to this blog for a few months until www.softtechreviews.com is seen by search engines, etc.

Although, if you have access to the Gallery, then keep www.myphotoalbumspace.com bookmarked, because eventually that will point to the Gallery.

The reason behind changing the domain is because My Photo Album Space just doesn’t fit this blog. I needed something that related more to the content, not the Gallery, since mostly just friends and family have access to the Gallery.

You may start to see changes happening as the switch of the domain occurs. The first change you will notice is the header. I have changed it to reflect the new domain.
