The iPhone Is Here

Before buying the iPhone, it might be a good idea to do a little bit of research and read reviews. This could end up being an expensive investment.

One review is by a CNET Editor who gives his thoughts about the iPhone, also pointing out the costs.

The 4GB model will cost $499 with a two-year contract, and the 8GB version will cost $599. That’s a steep price to begin with, particularly since you’re locked into a two-year contract with one carrier. And keep in mind that the iPhone will not be sold with the rebates or discounts that normally are offered by carriers for signing a contract.

New AT&T customers will have to choose a special iPhone service plan as well. For $60 a month, you’ll get 450 minutes of anytime minutes and 5,000 night-and-weekend minutes. For $80 a month, you’ll get 900 anytime minutes and unlimited nights and weekends. And for $100 a month, you’ll get 1,350 anytime minutes and unlimited nights and weekends. All plans will include visual voice mail access, unlimited e-mail and mobile Web surfing, free mobile-to-mobile minutes, and 200 text messages a month. And don’t forget the $36 activation fee.

Review of the Nintendo DS Wifi Max

As stated previously, I would review the Nintendo DS Wifi Max when I received it. Since mine was used, forgive me if I leave anything out. Included in the box is the Wifi Max Dongle, the base, utility disc and two manuals (one in English and the other in French). The Wifi Max is also for the PSP as well, so the manuals also include instructions for the PSP.

The first thing I did was plug in just the Dongle into an available USB port to see if Windows would recognize it and install the required drivers. Sure enough, it did, but I still needed the disc, as I didn’t know how to set anything up. I installed the software; it asked me if I needed the PSP or the DS software. Obviously, I chose DS.

Very simple so far, so I thought. It said it was connected so I open up my DS and test the connection. The DS sees the access point, but can’t connect to it. I had left the ZDWlan (configuration tool) settings at the default when I tried. Since those default settings didn’t work right, I was looking at them, not finding anything wrong, and then I see the Bridge setting and so I select my computer’s network adapter. Then, I test the connection on the DS again and it worked!

Free iPhone

With all those Free iPod websites that popped up, I thought I would check to see if www.freeiphone.com was taken. Sure enough, it’s taken and says Free iPhone on it. Maybe a place to get a free iPhone if you complete offers? I hope not. Completing offers is getting old. Try something new!

Free iPhone

I wonder if this website will be ready on the iPhone release date, June 29?

Nintendo DS Browser Arrived

Well, Best Buy managed to send me one (it was on backorder) from California. Considering it was sent via USPS, it did not take very long to get here. I cannot do a review on this yet, as I have not received the Wifi Max for some reason. The weird part is that it’s coming from North Carolina via USPS and was shipped a couple days before the Browser. How is that possible?

I won’t assume anything yet until the end of the week. If I don’t receive it, I’ll start wondering if the person on eBay even sent it.

Nintendo DS Wifi Max & Browser

Over the weekend I had ordered the Nintendo DS Wifi Max from eBay and the Browser from Best Buy. Just yesterday the Wifi Max was shipped (or at least notified of pending shipment) and the Browser was shipped today (or notified of pending shipment). The Nintendo DS Browser was on backorder at Best Buy because of the amount of people who ordered it. But, lucky me, mine is on it’s way! Hopefully I’ll receive them both on the same day (Friday maybe, please?)

After testing them both out, I will review both of them.
