I sometimes have a hard time deciding which wallpaper to use on my desktop, unless I know I want a specific color, then it’s pretty easy from there. Here is what my current desktop looks like now:

This wallpaper comes from Larissa Meek. [Get it here] She’s created some really nice wallpapers.
When looking for new wallpaper, I check out the following websites because they have really good wallpaper.
I’ve mentioned this before, but if you’re interested in customizing your own wallpaper, you can use WallpaperMaker. It doesn’t have a lot of choices, but it’s a good start!
Here’s a few wallpapers that I like from the sources above (clicking on them will take you to their page):

You may notice from most of the wallpapers I like, there is a lot of brown and green. I like my desktop more when either of those two colors are present. I have no idea why though!

I’m not really a huge fan of Torchwood as I am Doctor Who, but I thought I would still look around for some wallpaper. Unfortunately, this is a lot harder because there isn’t a lot available.
Here are a few that I was able to find, along with where you can look for more. Enjoy!
Click on one to go to the download page where it’s located.

There are more available at deviantART, The Torchwood Archives and on Google Image Search.

I am a big fan of Doctor Who. In fact, it’s my favorite TV show. Because I like it so much, I wanted some Doctor Who wallpaper, preferably with the Tardis on it, but there aren’t that many good ones available. Most of the wallpapers include the Doctor and other characters, and I’m not that interested in having them on my desktop so much as I do the Tardis.
Since I’ve had to search all over the Internet, I thought I would gather together some Doctor Who wallpaper. So, if you are a fan of Doctor Who: enjoy!
Click on one to go to the download page. Not all of these are high resolution.

There are lots more on BBC and deviantART. Most of these came from those two locations.
Please, if you know of more, that are of high quality, share in the comments! It seems to be really hard finding excellent Doctor Who wallpaper that even fit on a 1440×900 resolution.

I just read about PaperMaker over at Lifehacker. It is really cool, but I think it needs more choices and the ability to import your own backgrounds. I would also like to be able to see and download what others have created. Although, there is a gallery, but only very little are displayed.

PaperMaker lets you choose a background, pictures and accessories to create your own custom wallpaper in the resolution you choose. I’m not sure if this is automatic, but it had the resolution set at 1440×900, which is the resolution I have set. Thumbs up if it does automatically detect resolutions.
The backgrounds PaperMaker has are even great by themselves without any extra pictures and accessories. I chose a blue one that looks like paint was splattered all over and set it as my wallpaper.

Since it doesn’t let you view what others have created and download them, I thought I would share my creations. They aren’t really that good, just saved my tests of PaperMaker. But, if by some chance someone likes them, they are available for you to download at the resolution of 1440×900. Click on the image to preview the full size. Enjoy.

PayPerPost, Inc. has now been changed to IZEA, Inc. The official press release can be read on the IZEA site.
Most people already know about the popular PayPerPost. PayPerPost pays you to write on your blog for advertisers wanting to get the word out about their products and/or services. They have also come up with services that are free to use. One of them is Argus for tracking.
The name change comes just days before the scheduled unveiling of IZEA’s highly anticipated new service, codenamed Argus. An alpha version of the offering will be revealed on Nov. 10 at PostieCon, the company’s annual user conference. It will provide both bloggers and advertisers more visibility into social media and allow them to interact with each other and the public in more immediate, transparent and accountable ways.
It’s really interesting what new ideas they keep coming up with. I think the strangest one is broadcasting your blog’s content into space for aliens to read. It’s very possible that someone out there might be interested in reading what you have to say!

With the new change, you can download IZEA wallpaper. Very nice! I love the logo.
If you like the IZEA logo, you can download it and use it to create your own wallpaper and share it.
