Tax Day

Tax day is over finally. I filed mine the day before (yes, last minute), but then TurboTax was having problems yesterday, saying that I never e-filed. That was just from their servers being overloaded or something and it turned out that since they had already been submitted, I was safe, even though it reported that I hadn’t e-filed.

I read the forum on the TurboTax website and a lot of people were panicking. Some people also don’t realize how many people do their taxes at the last minute, which is why there can be problems. Sure, this should be expected and the servers should be able to handle a large load, but what if more people than expected do their taxes at the last minute? Or maybe something else just causes a problem that was not expected during this time? If you are going to do your taxes on the last day, expect delays! Even if you take them to the post office to be sent out, expect a long line. If you can’t handle it, then do your taxes early.

This “problem” for many people has of course made it to the news. Read it here.
