Santa Claus

Since Christmas was just here, it’s only fair to add something here. I recently noticed a visitor from a town in Indiana named Santa Claus. I thought it had to be joke since Christmas was only less than a month ago. I checked it out on MapQuest and sure enough, there the town was. I decided that I should check out the history for the town and came across this page. I am going to tell you a summary of the story; leaving it up to you to read the whole story yourself. It’s worth it.

This town started off as a town without a name. Not many people lived there. I guess one Christmas Eve they decided to hold a meeting to give this town a name. While they were discussing names, the door of the church (where they held the meetings) opened and it was Santa Claus at the door. So, the town was named Santa Claus.

My summary isn’t the best way for you to get a feel of the story, which is why I recommend reading the whole story.
