I used to have a GameTap subscription, but then I wasn’t working as much so I had to cancel it, because my bank account would be charged monthly. I wasn’t even using GameTap for a while because the software wouldn’t even run well on the computer. If a popup from some program came up, GameTap would minimize and then I’d go back in and it would look all screwed up and I would have to close it and start over.
Anyway, I received an e-mail saying:
Every week, you can log in and play over 30 different games for FREE.
No trial period. No commitment.
It kind of makes me happy that I can play for free now, but will the program still act the way it did or has it improved? I guess the only way for me to find out is to install and play.
For those of you who don’t know what GameTap is, it’s a place where you can play games that you would normally have to go and buy and install on your computer. Instead, you can open up GameTap’s software and have access to tons of games, including some ancient games. You select the game you want to play, wait for it to download and install for you. (Not installed the same way you would if you purchased a game.) Go check out GameTap for yourself!
