WordPress Upgrade 2.3

Just yesterday, I decided to go ahead and upgrade to the newest beta of WordPress 2.3 (beta 3). I made sure to backup everything possible before I did this in case something went wrong. Since you are reading this, nothing went wrong. It was very easy to upgrade. I will continue to keep it up-to-date to keep all bugs out and security in.

What does this upgrade mean for you? Not much really, except that there is one feature that you will start noticing that I added to the recent entries. That is the tags, in case you didn’t notice. Until there is a more automated or better manual way of adding tags to older entries or a plugin that will allow me to edit just the tags for each entry without having to go through every single one by editing and saving, I am not going to add the tags to older entries.

If the people at WordPress don’t include it into WordPress, maybe someone else would be willing to create a plugin to do it? Please! I’m sure it’s something simple that could be put together if you know how to write the code. All it needs is to be a page with a list of every entry (paged of course (possibly using AJAX?)) and next to each one would be a text field to enter/edit the tags. Then, at the bottom of the page a submit button and all entries are edited!

If only I could create my own plugin – it would be my first!

Apple Logo Tattoo: Is It True?

A now famous Justine Ezarik has gone out and done something really crazy! She got a tattoo on the upper part of her back of the Apple logo. Check out the video below.

Outlook: Deferred Delivery

This is the best tip ever. At least for me it is, because I could have used this a long, long time ago.

Have you ever sent an e-mail and then regretted something you said, sent an e-mail to the wrong person or even forgot the attachment you said you would send? I have forgotten attachments so many times. It’s one of those things you should do before writing the actual e-mail content, but never seem to.

It turns out there is an option to defer delivery of e-mails for a length of time (in minutes). This applies to Outlook and I found out about this from How-To Geek. Too bad I stopped using Outlook for about half a year now.

Make Google Images Fly

There’s a video by Yigal that shows a neat JavaScript trick to make Google images fly. Check out the video and then try it out for yourself. It’s just one of those things you have to see and then move on.
