Vacation at the Beach

The picture you see below is actually an e-card that you can create yourself, located at Beaches Negril. My castle is called Aglaia Castle; meaning a beautiful castle! Build A Sandcastle let’s you create your own virtual sandcastle while dreaming of the vacation spot you would like to visit. This is free, so give it a try, it’s really fun.

Aglaia Castle

It’s very simple, choose the beach your virtual sandcastle will be built at; Beaches Boscobel, Beaches Negril, Beaches Sandy Bay, Beaches Turks or Beaches Caicos. Then, start building the sandcastle by choosing the individual parts provided. You can customize each part as well to make it much more fun and colorful! Before you start building your sandcastle, there’s a how to that is shown to show you what to do. Also, add some beach accessories such as a beach ball, birds, shovel and pail, shells and more!

I wanted to give my three-year-old a chance to play with this and build a sandcastle, but he would never want to leave the computer once he sees it! He would enjoy adding starfishes and birds to the e-card. I’ll have to let him try it another time when I don’t need to be at the computer.

After you’re done creating a sandcastle, give it a name and save it. It will be published on the website. You can also look at sandcastles others have created, too.

After your sandcastle is saved, you can build your vacation, too!

AJAX WordPress Themes

I came across these WordPress themes that use AJAX by Rod McFarland. These aren’t your ordinary themes that just have comments or search results that show up without refreshing the page. Take a look.

My favorites are CLI2 and Splat. Some people might think these themes are useless, but what if you want to view a blog in text format without all those images? Plus, it’s just fun!

Tim Knowles’ Work

Tim Knowles’ work is very unique. Although, I guess it really isn’t his work, it’s the work of the subjects he uses to create the drawings. His work involves tree drawings, vehicle motion drawings, balloon drawings and more. I’m more interested in these drawings than his other work.

The tree drawings are produced by pens being attached to the tips of tree branches, and as these branches move in the wind, the tree draws on a panel or board. According to Tim Knowles, these drawings tell us the tree’s character. Different types of trees are used.

Decorating Around the Home & Garden

Looking through this online store, Online Discount Mart, I found really cute Rain Gauges! I have never seen anything like this, but it would be perfect to have outside in the front. My favorite one is the cat with the umbrella! Very cute!

We probably only have a few nice things around the house outside. Recently I had added these nice white rocks underneath the bushes in front of our house; looks really good! Then there’s this one thing that has two frogs on a see-saw; very cute. We have a wind chime.
